Frequently asked questions
How will I feel during the treatment?
You will feel a tingling or prickly sensation during the treatment. If you feel sensitive or have low pain tolerance, the nurse can apply numbing cream for 30min prior.
What do I expect after?
Some spots will appear red similar to a mosquito bite but settles in a few hours. Some spots will darken for 3-7 days, and eventually peel. Then, your face will feel smoother and appear brighter.
For scarring reduction, redness will last for up to 7 days.
Application of hydrating moisturiser is recommended.
How many sessions do I need?
It depends on how dark your pigmentation is. It is usually recommended to do 3 sessions initially then top up maintenance as needed. Depending on the size and complexity of the tattoo, a series of 4-6 sessions is recommended.
